Our approach to privacy

At iiStudio we believe your work and media belong to you alone. The app is built to run on your device; this policy explains, in plain language, what stays on your device and the few cases where data is sent to a server to power a feature you chose to use.

Your work stays on your device

All editing, design, montage, captions, fonts, and export happen and are stored only on your device. iiStudio does not upload your projects or media, or sync them to any server, and your results stay in your hands on the device.

Accounts are optional

You can use the core editing features without signing in — you can skip sign-in and go straight into the app. Signing in with Google or Apple is optional and is needed only for Premium cloud features. When you sign in, we receive your email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address if you choose Hide My Email), your display name, and a Firebase user ID. Apple provides your name only on your first sign-in. This information is stored on your device and in Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to keep you signed in and to enable Premium features. You can sign out at any time.

Captions and translation

When a signed-in user uses automatic captions or translation, your audio passes through our servers, is then sent to an external speech-processing provider to be turned into text, and is deleted afterwards. We do not sell your content and do not use it for any other purpose. We keep no copy of the audio; only a cryptographic fingerprint (a hash) is retained as a cache key. The resulting caption or translation text is cached for up to 30 days, tied to your account, for one purpose only: to avoid re-processing an identical request, and it is never used for advertising. We keep a simple usage counter (your user ID and the number of seconds processed) to enforce usage limits. Features that run on your device never send anything to these servers.

No tracking, no advertising

iiStudio contains no crash-reporting, no advertising, no third-party ad networks, and no tracking identifiers (no IDFA and no App Tracking Transparency prompt). We do not track you across apps or websites, and we never sell your data.

Anonymous usage analytics

To improve the app, iiStudio sends anonymous usage data through Google Analytics for Firebase: which screens are opened, which tools are used, whether exports succeed or fail, when the subscription screen is shown, the outcome of purchases, and the sign-in method used. It never collects your content — no text, captions, media, or project names — never uses the advertising identifier, and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Subscriptions and payments

Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed entirely through Apple. iiStudio never sees or stores your payment or card details.

Photos, media, and your avatar

The app requests photo-library access for one purpose: importing the media you choose to include in your design. We do not read your library in the background. If you sign in with Google, your Google profile photo may be downloaded to your device to use as your avatar; it is not re-uploaded anywhere.

Who your data is shared with

We do not share your data with third parties except the service providers strictly required to run the features you use: Firebase (sign-in), Google Analytics for Firebase (anonymous usage analytics), an external speech-processing provider (transcription and translation, and only for users who use those features), and Apple (subscriptions). Each processes only what its feature needs.

Your choices and data deletion

You can use the app without an account, and sign out at any time. To permanently delete your account and its associated data, open Settings → Delete account inside the app; support also remains available as an alternative at iistudio@aliiapps.app.

Permissions and age rating

System permissions (Photos, and Camera and Microphone where applicable) are used only for the stated purpose at the time they are requested, and you can review or revoke them at any time in your device settings. iiStudio is a general-audience app (4+) and does not display adult content.
